W. Chris Peden

CO-FOUNDER | PRESIDENT & CEO

Chris Peden began his career in the tax and accounting field in 1988 and since then has provided a variety of consulting services to a very diverse group of companies and economic sectors. Chris is the President of Revolution. In this role, he performs root cause analyses; benchmarks against industry to develop corporate and departmental strategic plans; improves financial performance using key performance indicators (KPIs); develops sales-specific training; and identifies and implements revenue growth strategies.

Chris Peden’s professional background includes executive roles as President & COO of BouMatic LLC, as COO & CFO for CapRock Oil Tools; Executive Vice President at Linus Products, Inc.; Vice President-the Americas at Tri-Star Industries, PTE Ltd and Managing Partner of Peden & Associates. In these hands-on leadership roles, Chris designed and implemented a materials requirement planning (MRP) system; developed a return on investment (ROI) calculator; analyzed and improved performance processes; and brought about increased financial returns for investors. Chris Peden launched Peden & Associates in 1996. As the managing partner for this Friendswood, Texas-based consulting firm, Chris’s responsibilities included traditional CPA services as well as start-up and turn around consulting services.

At Peden & Associates, he facilitated the purchase and sale of several companies including but not limited to Martec Crane Services, Inc. and Online Insurance Services, Inc. In both these cases, Chris was instrumental in the transformation and marketing of the businesses for the new owners. In May 2005, Chris Peden was elected to a three-year term as council member of Friendswood, Texas, and became Mayor Pro-Tem in June 2006. Chris serves on the boards of a number of for-profits, not-for-profit, and government organizations, including the Waypoint 2 Space aerospace training company and the Gulf Coast Authority.

In 2000 he was elected President of the Board of Directors of Hope Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the mission of Hope Village; and he served on the board until 2011. Chris has a BBA in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin State and holds a Certified Public Accountant license in the State of Texas.

Jim Montgomery

CO-FOUNDER | VP SALES & MARKETING

im Montgomery has been around drill bits his entire life. As a 2nd generation drill bit sales professional Jim grew up visiting rigs, jetting bits, and learning the art of customer service in the back of his father’s field truck at 10 years old.

Jim started his drill bit sales career in the field as a Bit Runner for Encore PDC Bits in East, Texas. Over the last 16 years Jim has worked at every level from the warehouse floor to management. Jim has experience in bits, motors, and downhole tools while receiving consistent promotions. He has held the titles of Bit Runner, Field Sales Representative, City Sales Representative, Sr. City Sales Representative, and U.S. Sales Manager.

Along with the management and training of his sales staff, Jim also manages fleet levels using lean methods to ensure profitability. Jim has a BBA in Management from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Ben Chrest

Vice President of Engineering.

Ben brings over two decades of experience in PDC drill bit engineering, from design best practices and product development to product line management and dull bit evaluation. His unique set of skills gives Revolution Drill Bits comprehensive vision and incredible focus, fusing performance, aesthetics and data analysis into a world class product line. Go Badgers!
